Growing up, I’ve always worked hard to be the best at activities I had a passion for. My first passion was basketball, which the dream was to make it to the pros. Unfortunately, due to a major injury, that dream was cut short. From the first day I laid my hands on a keyboard, I wanted to learn more about technology. I’ve taught myself how to program as well as picking the brains of those who was had experience in the tech industry.
Tech Skills/Programs: I have 4 years of experience in WordPress, and some experience is Adobe indesign. I began learning how to create websites on Dreamweaver back when I was in college. Thanks to IEL, I was able to learn more about CSS, and refresh my knowledge of HTML.
What’s a unique characteristic you bring to a development team? I’m a very quick learner, and the best way I learn anything is through experience. I consider myself a team player that is able to contribute ideas as well as follow team strategies that are laid out.
Why did you decide to start a career in Tech? I’ve been intrigued in technology since I was 9 years old, which was the first time I used and disassembled an apple computer. With the help of my older cousin who currently works IT for NSTAR, I’ve learned about programming and software development.
What do you like most about working in Tech? The tech industry is a booming industry, and will be one of the highest demanding industries in the future. To be able to work in an industry that you have a passion for is a life time goal for me. Also, it’s an evolving industry which gives you the opportunity to learn new things as time goes on.
